What could be worse than being stabbed in the back?
Being stabbed in the heart. This is what it must have felt like knowing that someone you spent day and night with for years would willingly betray you and even get paid for it. Luke, inspired by the Holy Spirit, in his account of the life and ministry of Jesus, clearly tells us the root of this evil act. "And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them. They were glad and agreed to give him money. So he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the crowd." Luke 22:3-6 But this doesn't excuse Judas' actions. We are all responsible for our own actions even if their origins are not directly from ourselves. Matthew explains further that the idea of money was Judas'. "[Judas] said, “What are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him." Matthew 26:15 Before we get on our high horse and start pointing the finger at others, let us examine our own hearts and motives. Why do we do what we do, good or bad? Like Judas we may be influenced or even feel driven to say or do something and it seemed like the best idea at the time. In the end Judas felt awful and ended his own life rather than ask forgiveness of the One whom he knew would give it without reservation. If you've been hurt, know that there are various reasons why people do what they do and sometimes it's not even directly connected to you or anything you've done. They could be as the psychologists say "passive aggressive". It could be that they've been hurt and they are, without knowing it, passing that hurt on. It's never an excuse but it helps to remember that there is a reason. If you have hurt someone please take the time, for your own good as well as the other person(s), to ask God for forgiveness and reach out to that other person. Consider what God tells us through His servant Paul- "Think about what we have in Christ: the encouragement he has brought us, the comfort of his love, our sharing in his Spirit, and the mercy and kindness he has shown us. If you enjoy these blessings, then do what will make my joy complete: Agree with each other, and show your love for each other. Be united in your goals and in the way you think. In whatever you do, don’t let selfishness or pride be your guide. Be humble, and honor others more than yourselves. Don’t be interested only in your own life, but care about the lives of others too. In your life together, think the way Christ Jesus thought. He was like God in every way, but he did not think that his being equal with God was something to use for his own benefit. Instead, he gave up everything, even his place with God. He accepted the role of a servant, appearing in human form. During his life as a man, he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death—death on a cross." Philippians 2:1-8 Our focus shouldn't be on our own sin or hurt but rather on God's goodness and grace toward us through His Son's selfless life. Have a great day Loved Ones and God bless you real good!

I agree. We need to be mindful of others and how we make them feel, instead of just focusing on how we feel.
